Over 6,000 professionals in gerontology and geriatrics are expected to attend the World Congress in San Francisco. 

In 2017, the theme “Global Aging and Health: Bridging Science, Policy, and Practice” will bring representatives from medicine, nursing, social science, psychological science, finance, policy fields, and other disciplines to address the latest approaches to improving the quality of life of the world’s older adults.

Do Make Show is an evening of inclusive dance created and performed by artists with and without disabilities. All Bodies Dance Project brings together movers of diverse backgrounds to create original choreography that celebrates innovation, difference and creativity while expanding the possibilities of what dance can do. The Winnipeg Youth Chorus and Margaret’s Choir are teaming together this month to present an aptly titled benefit concert, Hope, co-presented with the Mood Disorders Association of Manitoba. The 90-minute program being held May 24 at 7 p.m. at the Centennial Concert Hall will feature an eclectic evening of inspiring music, sung with gusto by 280 dedicated choristers aged seven to 70-plus, accompanied by pianists Charmaine Bacon and Katie Erickson.
